Description
Current situation or problem:
- The 010 $a serves as a main identifier in both bibliographic and authority records, therefore, it is important that it remain unique and of a valid structure in the system.
The construction of LCCN generation (for both NACO contributors and LC) can be managed in other systems, but there may be an opportunity to generate within FOLIO according to the specific structure/rules
Use case(s)
Proposed solution/stories
- Tenant level configuration
- Feature should not impact data import creates/updates.
- Deduplication 010 $a check on Create/Edit/Derive via quickMARC bib and authority UI
- Structure validation on 010 $a and 010 $z on Create/Edit/Derive via quickMARC bib and authority UI
Generation- Searching/normalization of LCCN
- MARC authority 010 $a and $z
- MARC bib 010 $a and $z
