    Description

      Background
In mid-October 2021, Holly was asked by Cornell University Library to review various issues discovered by CUL Access Services staff while using FOLIO. Holly met with various individuals at Olin and Mann libraries and produced the CORNELL ACCESS SERVICES FOLIO OBSERVATIONS & SUGGESTIONS document, which is available at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lwnZpkiw7G0c3EyObRRnjuV6XVMcFNK1lWUG952sFgI/edit?usp=sharing. This feature is ISSUE #7 from that document and has a priority of IMPORTANT.

      Overview
When batches of items arrive for contactless pickup, which means that they need to be checked out to a patron without the patron being present, there is no need to display the reminder that the patron has an item on hold for pickup. This happens with every item checked out by staff and requires an extra click. The short-term solution is for the user to set their Service Point to a different one. A long-term solution is to allow the user to suspend this message for the next 15 minutes or so.
