      Description

INN-Reach (IR) is a resource sharing platform from Innovative Interfaces Inc. (III) used by libraries running their Millennium and Sierra ILS systems to manage cross-tenant un-mediated requests for sharing items. III now provides a set of REST APIs (Direct to INN-Reach, or D2IR) to allow 3rd-party systems to integrate directly with an IR system (previous integrations required use of a middleware component and only provided a subset of functionality).

Adding this functionality to FOLIO will make the platform more appealing to libraries currently participating in IR-based consortia or similar arrangements, while also identifying and building functionality into core FOLIO components that can facilitate the building of native cross-tenant unmediated requests functionality.
