    Description

MM SIG members recommend this as needed for the long-term but not critical for any early adopters.

Catalogers need templates for creation of instance records for easy creation of e.g. monographs, serials, music, written music, electronic resources etc.

The possibility to duplicate an instance record is implemented, but this is not sufficient for catalogers who are used to work with templates for different resource types, which makes instance CRUD easier.

Templates is part of MARCcat. Inventory should match these.

      Usecases:

      1. To simplify and streamline the workflow for adding instance records.
      2. Using minimalistic instance templates defined by the library

      Tasks:

      • Discuss this topic with the MM-SIG (TBD)

      Documentation - input from lisams:

charlotte This is feedback from Chalmers. This is high priority for them. Please review and determine next step (finalize into a story, mark as will not implement, need more info, delete, etc.). The label chalmers_debut_followup helps us keep these issues all findable as a group.
