    Description

Function to support a set of "renewal" functionalities for an Agreement. In this context "renewal" may mean the negotiation of a new Agreement that follows from the original agreement, OR extending or marking a time period the agreement runs forT

Although "renew" is used in this feature name, the truth is that the "renewal" of a subscribed resource will happen at the agreement line or POL level, while agreements have their own periodic cycles and start/end times. This feature is about the agreement level cycles and changes. The purpose of this feature for the user is to be able to effectively manage and record information about how Agreements are managed over time.

The key aspects of this feature are:

      • Enabling the creation of a new agreement based on existing agreement, this will mean copying links and values from the existing agreement and including these (e.g. organisations, contacts, resources) to the new agreement
      • Linking agreements to indicate where one agreement supercedes another agreement
      • Supporting the ability to record "periods" for an agreement with their own start/end dates which can be used to indicate specific time periods in an agreement with information about those periods
