Purpose: To create mock-ups for a refinement of the basic user permission set assignment functionality.
- In folio-testing, go to Users and then edit a user and scroll down to the Permissions section where you can add and remove base permissions (which come with the apps) and permission sets (sets of base permissions which are created by users in Settings)
- Issues to be resolved:
- Current design mixes base permissions with user-created permission sets in a single list. This combined list gets very long and permission sets which get buried in the combined list. Would be good if we could split them out (provide a filter of some sort). NOTE: users will most often be assigned to permission sets, not base permissions
- No way to multi-select
- Ultimately, we will need to support the ability to select a _scope _for a permission assignment. So, for example, do you get to edit inventory records for the entire institution or just for one (or two) libraries? it would be great if we could factor this into the design now.
