Saving request takes 6 seconds after FOLIO open for a while

Steps to repro:

1. Log into folio-snapshot (also repros in Chalmers' environment which is running 3.1)
2. Go to inventory and find an item
3. From the item pane header dropdown, click create request
4. Fill out request and click "new request" button to save

Expected: Save should be snappy (not sure the exact SLA)

Actual: Takes 6 seconds

Note: I tested this on another computer and it wasn't as slow, but I wonder if the performance declines the more you do it (I have been doing this all day).
