Description
Overview: the search behavior is not as expected for titles with numbers (with and with-out thousand separator).
The behavior is seen in Bug-fest environment Q1 2019 - where we have titles with this problem, but I assume, the problem also exist in the current daily updated FOLIO environments, e.g. FOLIO Snapshot.
A
Steps to reproduce:
- Login to FOLIO Bugfest https://bugfest.folio.ebsco.com/ (folio/folio), go to Inventory
- In the Search and filter pane, do a Basic search; select Title, enter 1001 and perform the search
Expected result:
All titles with 1001 in the title (whether it is 1001, 1 001 or 1,001). In total 13 titles.
Actual result:
I get only 10 titles:

Other observations:
In e.g. the Swedish and Danish language, the thousand separator would be: 1.001.
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_separator for the standard and the lists of countries where the decimal separator is dot, comma, both or some other character.
See http://www.languageediting.com/format-numbers-eu-vs-us/ for the space as the thousands separator in the International System of Units and a comparison of number formatting in Europe vs. the US.
