Settings page. Inventory > Holdings > ILL policy

Purpose: In Inventory we have the ILL policy element in the Holdings record, which is used to express the lending policy applicable for the given resource e.g. will lend, will not lend, or will reproduce, will not reproduce and more. The Holdings type can be e.g. electron, and physical (for printed material). The Holdings type is used quite differently by the different libraries, e.g. uChicago use electronic and print. Duke use At Duke holdings type is mono, multi-part mono, and serial.

At MM-SIG meeting 11/01/2018 (https://wiki.folio.org/display/MM/2018-11-01+Metadata+Management+Meeting+Notes) it is decided that FOLIO will provide a predefined list, and the select list for the ILL policy is to be editable (CRUD). The notion is:

• if there is a fixed field value, then mapping back to a the MARC Holdings record should be possible
• if there is no MARC holdings record (MFHD) behind the Inventory holdings, then the MARC Holdings record (MFHD) to be generated based on the the given information from Inventory - to be spec'ed further: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11lGBiPoetHuC3u-onVVLN4Mj5KtVHqJaQe4RqCxgGzo/edit#gid=1117349574

As a cataloger, I want to review and manage the list of values defining the library's lending policy, the ILL policy.

Scenarios:

1. Scenario
   • Login to FOLIO snapshot stable, and go to Settings
   • When selecting Inventory > in the menu Holdings is displayed in the 2nd pane
   • then drill down to Holdings > ILL policy (displayed as a bullet point in the Instance list),
   • Then the ILL policy setting page open (displayed in 3rd pane)
2. Scenario
   • When the ILL policy setting page is open,
   • Then the top bar in 3rd pane display: ILL policy
3. Scenario
   • The ILL policy has following elements
     • ILL policy. The ILL policy terms are listed in MARC order following the permitted values in MARC tag field 008/20 Lending policy; 008/21 Reproduction Policy.
     • Source: Which define the source, e.g. folio or local
     • Last updated: Data from the Metadata component
4. Scenario
   • The list of predefined terms - to be in alphabetic order
     • Will lend
     • Will not lend
     • Will lend hard copy only
     • Limited lending policy
     • Unknown lending policy
     • Will reproduce
     • Will not reproduce
     • Unknown reproduction policy
5. Scenario
   • The ILL policy when predefined in FOLIO
   • Then source will be 'folio'
6. Scenario
   • The ILL policy can be set as a locally used term
   • The ILL policy is then defined locally by the tenant
     • The source will then be 'local'
7. Scenario
   • When click on the 'pen' it's possible to edit the
     • ILL policy
     • The actions buttons now displayed are 'Save' and 'Cancel'
8. Scenario
   • When edit of a ILL policy is done
   • Click on 'Save'
9. Scenario
   • When navigation away when in the middle of edit of an ILL policy
   • Then the standard modal will show, warning about: There are unsaved changes (e.g. like in the Settings > Formats)

    • When click on the trash icon it's possible to delete the row:
      • ILL policy
      • Source
      • Last updated
11. Scenario
    • Go to a given ILL policy, which is to be deleted
    • click on 'trash icon'
    • Then the standard modal will show, warning about:
      • Headline: Delete ILL policy
      • Text: The ILL policy [given value] will be deleted.
    • Select buttons: 'Cancel' or 'Delete'
    • The modal will be e.g. like in the Settings > Formats
12. Scenario
    • When adding a new ILL policy value to the list of ILL policy, click on the '+ New' icon
    • A new line in the top of the list will be added, which consist of
    • A text input box for ILL policy
    • When saved, the source will be system generated, and the setting is 'local'
13. Scenario
    • When click '+New' button to add a new ILL policy
    • Enter "Will lend" as ILL policy (which already exist) as one of the FOLIO predefined ILL policy values.
    • Then I get an error message: "The ILL policy has to be unique. Please enter a different ILL policy value." The new value freezes. charlotte has filed: STCOM-408

Out of scope for this story will be
a) systematic check against deletion of an ILL policy with associated holdings records
