Instance with multiple holdings and hundreds of items performs poorly when viewing details

Steps:
Create an instance like the one pictured in item info: 6 holdings with between 120-776 items each
Search for the barcode of the item
Click item selection in inventory search results
Watch page load over time. Holdings load in slowly.
Note that page cannot be resized or scrolled until holdings load in.
Depending on performance of computer this is done on, page may become unresponsive and pop up Kill or Wait dialogs when you attempt to resize or scroll.

Watching network activity shows that all 2800+ items are requested in batches of 100 at a time spanning the next 30-40 seconds of loading with requests also loading in for minutes after that.

Once page is completed scrolling is very slow and choppy, Note also that chrome task manager shows this window taking 944 MB on its own and uses over 100% cpu.
