Description
Purpose: The Inventory action for importing individual records from OCLC will potentially lead to many single record imports in the Data Import log. SME preference is to suppress these from showing in the log on the Data Import landing page. Since there may be other Inventory single record import actions in the future, suppress them from display based on the fact that the imports were triggered from Inventory, not based on the specific job profiles.
As a staff person working with data import
I do not want to see log entries for and single record imports triggered from Inventory on the Data import landing page
So that I can more easily see the regular imports that are happening
Scenarios
- Scenario 1
- Given the Data Import landing page
- When viewing the Log list of the most recent 25 imports
- Then do not display any imports that are triggered by an Inventory import action
- NOTE: This is currently 2 actions/options on the Inventory side, and only for OCLC - 1 from the Inventory action menu (for creating a new instance based on an OCLC record) and 1 from the Instance action menu (for updating an existing instance based on an OCLC record). In the future, more Inventory import sources may be added beyond OCLC
- Scenario 2
- Ensure this story passes Accessibility testing
- Scenario 3
- Ensure automated testing coverage for this new code is 80% plus and confirm with screenshot
Use UUID of the inventory job profiles as the way to filter them out, from the UI side; when Inventory expands options for multiple job profiles, add a checkbox in the schema to distinguish Inventory vs Data Import profiles.
