Functional Test: Data Import > Update MARC authority records - Identify baseline stats

As a librarian
I want to know how many authority records can be updated via the data import that align with user expectations.  

Testing goals 

• Ensure updating MARC authority records via data import work with a large set of MARC authority records

What to test?

Preconditions

• Ensure records to be updated have been loaded into FOLIO
• Settings > Data import > Create MARC authority job, match, action, and field mapping profiles for updating MARC authority records

• • Match profile: match on 010 $a , 001, or 999 ff $s fields 
  • Create Two Job profiles 
    • Scenario 1 = no action on non-matches 
    • Scenario 2 = action on non-matches > choose action profile > Default - Create MARC authority record 

Scenario 1 - No action on non-matches

• Upload file and Run applicable MARC authority record updates job profile
• Run this scenario with the following # of records to establish a functional baseline
  • 1000 records 
  • 5000 records
  • 10000 records 
  • 25000 records 
• With each run, # of records, document file size, date started, date ended, duration, import status, additional observations 

Scenario 2 - Action on non-matches > Create new MARC authority record 

• Upload file and Run applicable MARC authority record updates job profile
• Run this scenario with the following # of records to establish a functional baseline
  • 1000 records (250 are new records that will create new authority records) 
  • 5000 records (500 are new records that will create new authority records) 
  • 10000 records (1000 are new records that will create new authority records) 
  • 25000 records (2500are new records that will create new authority records)  

Test data

• Files must contain 
  • updates to at least two fields (50% of records in file)
  • additional of at least two fields (20% of records in file) 
  • deletion of one field (5-10% of records in file)
