Description

With the current response time for a check-out the user might reckon that a click on submit did not go through and repeat. This would create multiple check-outs of the same item.

Several things should be done to avoid multiple check-outs of the same item - front-end and back-end.

Prevent multiple clicks, add constraint in the back-end to disallow multiple check-outs of the same item, reduce response time.

This is an umbrella issue for that.
