      Description

Purpose: Create a separate permission for the Check In app so that users can be assigned this permission without having permission to check in items that are claim returned (UIU-1267).

      1. Scenario
        • Given the Check In module
        • When enabled
        • Then a permission should be provided called “Check In: Can check in items”
      2. Scenario
        • Given that a user has been given the permission “Check In: Can check in items” and no other permissions
        • When the user accesses FOLIO
        • Then
          • The Check In app should be visible
          • The user should be able to check in items by scanning/entering barcodes
            • This permission does not include the linking of any fields/actions through the ellipsis menu - i.e., no link to item details, user details, loan details, etc. unless otherwise explicitly given
          • The user should be able to backdate check ins
      3. Scenario
        • Given that a user has been given the permission set “Check In: Can check in items” as part of a permission set
        • When the user accesses FOLIO
        • Then they should have all rights normally conferred by this permission (Scenario 2), in addition to the rights conferred by the custom permission set

      Notes:

      • Check In: All permissions exists in FOLIO. So long as UIU-1267 is still in development, Check In: All permissions and the Check In: Can check in items would be redundant.
