HTTP request goes to server 2 times when Search and Sort Filter is used

This bug disables us from showing the right set of data records in the list.
The bug appears in the following ways:

1. When we use SearchAndSort component it sends 2 HTTP GET requests - one with query (which is defined in manifest) and one without it;
2. It sends above requests in deliberate order (sometimes query-less is first, sometimes - the second);
3. sometimes it ignores query initial values defined in manifest as well and this breaks sorting and filtering.
