Spike: Determine best approach for handling deleting MARC records: Cascade versus Schedule

Spike purpose: Team has already defined approach for scheduler AND now team wants to investigate cascade approach recommended by Martin Tran.

Goal: Determine if cascade approach is

• Faster to implement
• Addresses all issues outlined in MODSOURCE-298

Outcome

• Select the approach
• Provide number of records/time it takes to delete records

NEEDs to start this SPIKE

• Environment that contains a minimum of 25,000 MARC bib records stored in SRS

Timebox: 3-4 days (mostly due to environment setup and sample data troubleshooting)
