    Description

      Purpose/Overview:

      During performance testing done in scope of PERF-198 memory leak for io.vertx.core.parsetools.impl.JsonEventImpl and wasting of memory were found. 

      Requirements/Scope:

      1. The memory leak has been addressed, memory usage should be improved
      2. Performance tests confirm the fix

      Approach:

      Acceptance criteria:

      • Growing CPU/RAM usage is addressed and does not occur during multiple harvests 
      • Unit tests are written
      • API tests are updated
      • Tests run on team's oai-pmh test environment with 5M records confirm improved performance

      Additional information:

      • Performance testing reports are at attachments of PERF-198.
      • The leak was observed after multiple full harvests were conducted.
