Field mappings: Instance - Instance status update date - CREATE and UPDATE

Purpose: To assign the Instance status update date and time 1) when an Instance record is being created, but only when the instance status has been mapped and 2) when the instance status is updated in an existing Instance record

As a staff person working with data import
I want the instance status updated date to be assigned when an instance record is created, and to be updated in an existing Instance record
So that the Data import behavior matches existing Inventory behavior, but only when the instance status has been mapped in the field mapping profile used during import

Scenarios

1. Scenario 1  (but same thing happens when instance is created manually, so it's OK)
   • Given the Data import action = Create instance
   • And there is not a mapping in the Instance field mapping profile for Instance status
   • When the Inventory instance record is created
   • Then create the Instance record's created and updated date and time in the instance record's metadata accordion
   • But do not create the "Instance status updated" date and time below the Instance status
2. Scenario 2
   • Given the Data import action = Create instance
   • And there is a mapping in the Instance field mapping profile for Instance status
   • When the Inventory instance record is created
   • Then create the instance record's created and updated date and time in the instance record's metadata accordion
   • And assign an "instance status updated" date and time below the Instance status that matches the instance record's updated date and time in the instance record's metadata accordion
3. Scenario 3
   • Given the Data import action = Update instance
   • And there is not a mapping in the Instance field mapping profile for Instance status
   • When the Inventory instance record is updated
   • Then update the Instance record's updated date and time in the instance record's metadata accordion
   • But do not update the "Instance status updated" date and time below the Instance status
4. Scenario 4
   • Given the Data import action = Update instance
   • And there is a mapping in the Instance field mapping profile for Instance status
   • When the Inventory instance record is updated
   • Then update the instance record's updated date and time in the instance record's metadata accordion
   • And update the "Instance status updated" date and time below the Instance status

NOTE:

• The Instance status updated date and time only shows on the Instance View detail screen, not the Create/Edit screen
