R1 2021
Description
Purpose: System responds to midnight backwards from what we would expect: According to Dennis, "FY2021 ending on 2021-01-25 seems to mean 12:00am on that day, rather than 11:59pm on that day. Once the year is over the system will consider the next upcoming year to be the current year". This is confusing - we expect an end date to end at midnight of the end date, rather than midnight of the end date minus one. This caused us issues during the one week UAT because we weren’t sure what dates to use for each FY and how those dates impacted rollover processes.
Scenarios:
- Scenario:
- Given is creating fiscal year
- When adding a start date of X
- Then system considers the start date of that year to be day X at 12:00 AM
- Scenario:
- Given is creating fiscal year
- When adding an End date of X
- Then system considers the End date of that year to be day X at 11:59 PM
