Error message is cryptic

Overview:
The error message does not help identify the problem

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Start bulk item records when one of the records has status Checked out
2. In the bulk edit modification edit form select status update and set it to "Available"
3. Complete the bulk edit

Expected behavior
