Duplicate license

Value for user:
Ability for members of library staff to create new licenses based on an existing licenses will save re-keying of information and make it easy to create licenses that share the same terms etc.

Examples:

• The library has a common set of terms across multiple licenses and so copy an existing license with those terms

Roles and restrictions:

• Only users who are able to edit Licenses should be able to Duplicate licenses

Workflow / UI expectations:
1. A user can choose to Duplicate an license from the drop down menu at the top of the agreement (next to "Edit License")

2. After selecting to Duplicate an License the user is prompted with which aspects of the License they wish to copy into the Duplicate License. List of options for copying is TBA but likely to include:

• License information
• Internal contacts
• Organizations
• License property values

3. There will be options to select all or none of the above.

4. After confirming their selections, a new license will be created and opened in edit view with the appropriate copied information in place

Business rules & constraints:
The options for which parts of an license to duplicate work as follows:

• License information (includes only license name, description, Type, Status)
• License date information (start date, end date, open ended flag)
• Internal contacts (user + role)
• Organizations (org + role)
• Core documents
• License terms including values, internal notes, public notes and visibility flag
• Supplementary documents

NB we are not intending to support duplicating linked Amendments at this time
