In short, a patron has reached item block limit and logged in user does NOT have permission to override an item block. When the patron is trying to check out the item, a modal is displayed to the logged in FOLIO user saying the check in has failed with buttons: cancel and override. To override, we've discussed the following options:
- Supervisor login
- Email to supervisor with code
- Time-based one-time passcodes (TOTP)
- Decide on one of the options listed above and create BE stories to support this decision and UIU-1288.
